About the program

Spark is the grant track of the Ink Builder Program, run by the Ink Foundation for Ink, the OP Stack layer 2 started by Kraken. It funds live projects that can show measurable progress on Ink: tools, bots, mini dApps, integrations, infrastructure, public goods and consumer experiments. Grants range from 500 to 20,000 USDC.

Spark is not for ideas on paper. You need a working product and verifiable data, such as contract addresses, dashboards or onchain activity. Priority goes to projects built around Tydro (Ink's lending market), Nado (Ink's CLOB perps DEX), real world asset infrastructure and AI agent infrastructure, though strong outliers in games, payments or developer tools can also be funded.

There is no pitch deck. You fill in a short form, and the team reviews applications in rolling batches against six criteria. Grants are typically paid after approval and confirmation of a working build or live deployment. Spark is also meant as a stepping stone to larger Ink support later.

What they fund

  • Integrations with Tydro, Ink's lending market, and Nado, Ink's perps DEX
  • Real world asset infrastructure native to Ink
  • AI agent infrastructure: payments, trading agents, wallet and action frameworks
  • Developer tools, public goods and consumer apps with clear value for Ink

  3. Decision

  4. Payment

The USDC grant is typically paid after approval and confirmation of a working build or live deployment.
