About the program
The Nym Squad League is Nym's community contribution program. It is paid from the Squad Wealth Fund, a community treasury that is refilled each season with staking rewards from NYM delegated to Nym nodes. Work is grouped into missions, which anyone can do without applying, and grants, which need a proposal.
The main grant for developers is Build with Nym. It funds open-source tools and apps that use the Nym mixnet and can run without much help from the Nym dev team. The listed maximum is 100,000 NYM per project, and grants above 50,000 NYM are paid through a vesting contract. Scope, milestones and reward are agreed one by one.
Other open grants pay for node mentoring, translations, regional community management, commissioned content and writing. In Spring 2026 the program paid 824,397 NYM across 59 contributions, 205,000 NYM of it for Build with Nym work such as a NymHUB redesign, a NymVPN Telegram bot and node tooling. Amounts are small in dollars: at the October 2026 NYM price, 100,000 NYM is about $2,700.

Receive NYM
Approved rewards are sent within about two weeks of each monthly or end-of-season update, and grants above 50,000 NYM go into a vesting contract.
